Governor Monday Okpebholo of Edo State has relieved the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of the state-owned New Edo Line Transport Services Limited, Ms Tinyan Otuomagie, of her appointment.
The State Commissioner for Transportation, Mr Uwuilekhue Idehen, announced the development in a four-paragraph statement issued on Thursday.
The statement read in part: “The Edo State Government wishes to inform the general public that His Excellency, Senator Monday Okpebholo, the Executive Governor of Edo State, has approved the termination of the appointment of Ms Tinyan Otuomagie as the Managing Director/CEO of New Edo Line Transport Services Limited, with immediate effect.
“Following this development, the General Manager (Maintenance), Mr Smart Aigbodion, has been appointed as Acting Managing Director/CEO of New Edo Line Transport Services Limited, pending the appointment of a substantive Managing Director.”
It further stated that Governor Okpebholo had approved the appointment of Mr Aigbodion in an acting capacity while a substantive Managing Directorwas being appointed.
The statement also disclosed that Ms Otuomagie had been redeployed to the Ministry of Information for other duties as may be assigned by the Edo State Government.
