A Nigerian grandmum has had her stolen Toyota RAV4 recovered thanks to the swift action of the Ogun State Police Command.
The silver-coloured vehicle was reported abandoned and suspected stolen in the Somorin area of Obantoko, Abeokuta, on Friday, January 17. It was promptly taken into police custody for safekeeping.

The victim recounted her ordeal, saying that at one point, a police officer reassured her: “Sit and relax, everything will be alright.” She described her amazement at the speed of the recovery, recalling how the PPRO had asked for the vehicle’s description and ensured the information was broadcast through the command’s radio room, reaching nationwide attention.
“I called my friends and we prayed over it. On Saturday morning, the PPRO had it in the radio room. When I got here, it was mine,” she said, expressing her gratitude.
The Ogun State Police continue to urge residents to report stolen vehicles immediately and thanked the public for cooperating in ongoing surveillance and recovery efforts.
