Actress Angela Okorie fires at parents over ‘wrong’ kissing style

Nollywood actress Angela Okorie has stirred reactions on social media after criticizing parents who kiss their children on the mouth.

The actress made her position known via a series of posts on her Instagram Story, where she admonished parents to stop what she described as an inappropriate and unnecessary habit. According to Okorie, parents should instead kiss their children on the cheek.

Questioning the rationale behind mouth-to-mouth kissing, the actress expressed concern about hygiene and boundaries, stressing that children do not need to be exposed to germs from adults.

“Stop kissing your kid’s mouth to mouth! Haaa. What happened to the cheek? They are kids; they don’t need your infected mouth, please. Kiss them on the cheek,” she wrote.

Angela Okorie further expressed surprise that some people also kiss their parents on the mouth, repeatedly questioning why the cheek is no longer considered appropriate.

“People will kiss their mother mouth to mouth, kiss your father mouth to mouth. Wetin happened to cheek? Oh Jesus. Una dey vex me for this app. Abi, am I old-fashioned? Why mouth-to-mouth?” she added.
