Hollywood animation Zootopia 2 has become the highest-grossing animated film of all time at the box office.
The animation, released in November 2025, has made over $1.7bn (£1.3bn) at the box office globally, since it’s release. It quickly dethroned the record holder, Inside Out 2 which made $1.69bn after its release in 2024.
Alan Bergman, Disney entertainment‘s Chairman, expressed his excitement for the milestone, stating that it was only possible thanks to the fans.
“This milestone belongs first and foremost to the fans around the world whose enthusiasm made it possible. We’re incredibly proud of our filmmakers… Zootopia 2 is an extraordinary achievement, and we’re grateful to everyone who helped bring it to life,” he said.
