‘Your useless father abandoned you,’ Fela’s daughter fires at Wizkid

Motunrayo Kuti, daughter of the late Afrobeat legend Fela Anikulapo Kuti, has called Wizkid out for making a controversial comment about Fela.

The digital designer in a now viral video, accused Wizkid of disrespecting her father’s legacy. She called Wizkid’s father a useless man that abandoned his wife and child.

Motunrayo did not hold back while expressing her rage, she spoke about Wizkid’s late mom, adding that Wizkid is only bigger than his parents.

“Wizkid is bigger than Fella Abi. You are also bigger than your father. That your useless father. That one wey abandon you and your mama wey don die so. That man, Muniru. Muniru Olátúnjí Balogun. You see that Muniru Olátúnjí, You are also bigger than your useless father. As you are bigger than our own father. Her statement sparked multiple reactions from other users, with some reprimanding her for making the controversy more personal.
