The Nigerian gospel music community has been plunged into fresh grief following the death of gospel singer Taye Ojesina, popularly known as TJass.
The sad development was confirmed on Friday by fellow gospel singer Olaniyi Olusegun Peters, who announced the news on his social media page.
He wrote:
“Another music minister.
Taye Ojesina a.k.a TJass is dead.
Oluwa saanu wa ooooooooooooo.”
As of the time of filing this report, more details surrounding TJass’ death have not been made public,
TJass’ death comes barely 11 days after the gospel music industry lost another minister, Bunmi Akinaanu, widely known for her emotional worship song “Omije Ojumi”.
Bunmi Akinaanu, fondly called “Omije Ojumi”, reportedly passed away after battling a health challenge that kept her out of the public eye for some time.
Her death stirred concern and prayers across social media, especially after reports emerged that efforts were being made to seek medical help for her condition.
