Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), has warned people who visit him in prison not to make public statements about their discussions.
Kanu also said he does not collect money from anyone before allowing visits.
His lawyer, Nnemeka Ejiofor, made this known in a video message. According to him, Kanu is currently serving a life sentence at the Sokoto Correctional Centre.
Ejiofor said that from now on, anyone who visits Kanu must not speak publicly about what was discussed during the visit.
If Kanu has any message for the public, it will only be shared through his lawyers or IPOB’s spokesperson, Emma Powerful.
He also explained that Kanu has never taken money from anyone for prison visits and that visiting him is not a business.
