French star, Kolo Muani involved in car crash

Quick Read

Despite the challenges, Spurs can still qualify for the Champions League last 16 if they defeat Frankfurt, who are currently without a manager.

Tottenham Hotspur forward Randal Kolo Muani was involved in a car accident ahead of the club’s Champions League match in Germany on Wednesday night.

The French attacker crashed his Ferrari after a tyre burst while he was driving to Stansted Airport to catch the team’s flight to Frankfurt.

Kolo Muani was not injured in the accident. His teammate, Wilson Odobert, stopped to check on him. Both players later made separate travel arrangements and are expected to be available for the match.

Tottenham manager Thomas Frank confirmed that everyone involved in the accident was safe.

“That is my understanding of the situation,” Frank said. “I have not spoken to them personally yet, but they are fine. No one was hurt. It was caused by a tyre blowout. They will travel later, and I expect both of them to be available.”

However, Tottenham are facing more problems with injuries. Defender Pedro Porro has been ruled out for about a month due to a hamstring injury, while Micky van de Ven will also miss the trip.
