Korede Bello opens up on religion, spirituality

Nigerian singer Korede Bello has shared a message on religion, reflecting on his commitment to Christianity. The singer on his Instagram page, explained the significance of the cross to Christians, stressing the need for a focus from the cross to what it represents.

Korede explained that his message came after a moment of reflection, adding that his current identity is one with that of Christ.

“Does Jesus still belong on the cross? Before you crucify me, please be aware that I am a Christian and Christ has already died for me. He has already been crucified for me, so there’ll be no need for that. Jesus never said remember me on the cross. Am I saying the cross is not important? No. I was praying and looking at the cross when it hit me that He’s no longer on it. When I think Jesus, I think my identity is seated right next to the Father. That’s where I am,” he said.

The 29-year-old expressed the need for Christians to ensure that their faith aligns with the resurrection of Christ.
