A farmer identified as Timothy Ayock, has been remanded in a correctional centre for forcefully had sexual intercouse with a 70-year-old widow at Tagama community in Zangon Kataf Local Government of Kaduna State. Area on Dec. 26.

Ayock was arraigned on two counts of rape and criminal force, contrary to sections 257 and 237 of the Kaduna State Penalty Code Law, 2017 before a State High Court sitting in Kafanchan

The state counsel from the ministry of justice, Daniel Isah, told the court that he committed the office on December, 26, 2025.

The prosecutor thereafter prayed the court for an adjournment to enable the state prove its case against the defendant.

When the charges were ready to him, he pleaded not guilty to them.

In his ruling, the presiding judge, Michael Eugene, ordered the defendant to be remanded at the Kafanchan correctional centre.

Eugene adjourned the matter until March 5 for hearing.
