Mastercard has launched Mastercard Agent Suite, a new suite of services designed to help businesses integrate agentic artificial intelligence into their operations and prepare for what the company describes as a new era of commerce.
The offering combines customizable AI agents with technical support, drawing on Mastercard’s payments expertise, data-driven insights, proprietary technology platforms and a global advisory network of more than 4,000 specialists.
The initiative is aimed at helping enterprises move beyond experimentation and take practical, deployable steps toward agentic AI adoption.
According to Mastercard, customers using the Agent Suite will be able to build, test and deploy fit-for-purpose AI agents tailored to their specific business needs.
The company’s advisory teams will work closely with clients throughout the process, providing execution support and ensuring solutions remain adaptable as technology and market conditions evolve.
The move comes as agentic AI gains momentum globally. Mastercard cited projections that a third of enterprise software applications will incorporate agentic AI by 2028, with a significant share of customer interactions and operational tasks expected to be supported by AI agents by 2030.
“Readiness is the new competitive advantage,” said Kaushik Gopal, head of insights and intelligence at Mastercard.
He said organisations that lay the groundwork early are better positioned to unlock new commercial opportunities, adding that the Agent Suite is designed to help customers translate innovation into measurable outcomes.
Scheduled for release in the second quarter of the year, Mastercard Agent Suite will complement the company’s existing AI and agentic solutions that focus on security, payment optimisation, user experience and insight-led growth.
The company said the new suite also aligns with its standards and responsible AI principles, with privacy and security built into agent design.
Initial use cases will include intelligent product discovery for banks and conversational shopping experiences for merchants.
Mastercard said it will continue expanding its agentic ecosystem through related solutions, developer tools, startup incubation programmes and advisory services to help businesses navigate the evolving AI-driven commerce landscape.
