Nigerian actor and film maker, Kunle Afolayan, has reacted to Funke Akindele’s response to his opinion on movie promotion.
The producer had initially spoken about the trend of actors dancing and making skits to promote their movies. His statement, however, drew the attention of billionaire actress and film maker, Funke Akindele, who is known for being thorough when marketing her movies.
She stated that whoever has a problem with her approach to marketing should create their own path.
Afolayan, however, while speaking with Arise News, explained that he meant no harm with his sentence. He stressed that he admires Funke Akindele’s growth, noting that his opinion was misunderstood.

”I’m a product of travelling theatre. Funke called me yesterday and she said Mr. Afoloyan I know you don’t like me. Don’t mention my name in your interviews. She was yelling and she dropped the phone after that. Toyin Abraham and I spoke and she said she understood what I said. Funke started at a younger age, She has grown it is a consistent growth. What I was saying is that I cant do what they are doing because they have so much energy. I tell people to follow her model in order to be successful,” he stated.
