How thug avoided rape sentence after ‘destroying’ girlfriend

An unrepentant thug, Joel Osei, has been jailed for ‘destroying’ his influencer girlfriend’s life but she died before she could testify.

Osei who ‘destroyed’ his girlfriend by strangling and beating her has avoided a full trial for multiple rapes after her tragic death.

The 33-year-old pervert made 29-year-old Tianne Robinson’s life a misery after they began dating in 2021.

He abused her to the point where, family members claim, the beauty influencer could no longer care for herself, MyLondon reported.

Tianne died from a blood clot on September 12, 2025. The court heard that Tianne was “unrecognisable” due to Osei’s abuse, though this was not linked to her death.

Osei, of Redbridge, faced four rape charges at a trial last year, but Tianne’s death meant she could not give evidence.

CPS lawyers tried to get Tianne’s video recorded police interview admitted as hearsay, but after six days of legal argument, and consultation with her family, Osei’s pleas to the remaining counts were accepted and the rape allegations were not proceeded with. Osei has denied all four counts of rape.

Osei was last week jailed for four years and two months at Snaresbrook Crown Court on domestic abuse charges of strangulation, assault, and controlling and coercive behaviour, the newspaper reported.

The incidents included Osei kicking and dragging Tianne across the floor; covering her face with a pillow then strangling her; and threatening to bury her in Epping Forest.

Tianne died from a blood clot on September 12, 2025.

Speaking outside the court on Wednesday (January 28), Tianne’s mum Amanda Taylor said: “[Osei] destroyed her through domestic abuse, and silenced her, made her scared, where she couldn’t reach out to her family.
