Benjamin Šeško struck deep into stoppage time to spare Manchester United further embarrassment and seal a dramatic 3–2 Premier League victory over Fulham at Old Trafford on Sunday.

In a pulsating encounter decided in the 96th minute, Šeško ghosted into space inside the box to meet a precise pass from Bruno Fernandes, before calmly burying the ball into the top-right corner.

The late strike came just moments after Fulham thought they had rescued a point with a stunning equaliser.

United had looked in control early in the second half after taking a two-goal lead. Casemiro opened the scoring in the 19th minute with a powerful header from a set-piece, before Matheus Cunha doubled the advantage in the 56th minute, finishing from close range after a scramble in the penalty area.

Fulham, however, refused to fold. A controversial moment in the 83rd minute saw referee John Brooks award the visitors a penalty after a foul by Harry Maguire, which Raúl Jiménez converted confidently to make it 2–1.

The drama intensified in added time when Kevin unleashed a spectacular long-range strike in the 91st minute to level the score at 2–2, threatening to snatch a point for the London side.

But United had the final word. With nine minutes of stoppage time indicated, Fernandes produced a moment of quality to find Šeško unmarked, allowing the striker to deliver a decisive blow and send Old Trafford into raptures.

The victory keeps Manchester United’s push up the Premier League table alive, while Fulham were left ruing defensive lapses after a spirited late comeback fell just short.
