Puerto Rican American rapper, singer Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, known professionally as Bad Bunny, has protested against the Immigration and Customs Enforcement actions.

The Grammy Award winning record producer, while giving a speech at the 68th Grammy Awards ceremony on Sunday, delivered a political message targeted against ICE.

Bad Bunny spoke against the recent Immigration acts that have grown violent and aggressive, calling for it to be stopped. He stated that immigrants are not aliens and animals and should not be treated as such.

“Before I say thanks to God, I’m gonna say: ICE out!. We’re not savage, we’re not animals, we’re not aliens. We are humans and we are Americans. I know it’s tough not to hate on these days, and I was thinking, sometimes we get contaminados – I don’t know how to say that in English – the hate gets more powerful with more hate. The only thing that is more powerful than hate is love. So, please, we need to be different. If we fight, we have to do it with love,” he stated.

The 31-year-ols who is also the headline artist at the forthcoming Super Bowl, won three awards and made history by winning the album of the year. His win made it the first time a Spanish-language album has claimed the Recording Academy’s top prize. He dedicated his awards to immigrants.
