Wahab Okoya, the 19-year-old son of Nigerian billionaire Razaq Okoya, is under fire for making strong claims about Nigeria’s current state.

While speaking in a YouTube video with Cruise, Wahab spoke about Nigeria’s progress, claiming that there has been major improvement.

He explained that while Nigerians who live in the country may not see the changes, they are noticed by those who travel abroad often.

“If you compare Nigeria of three years ago to Nigeria of today, we’re getting better. I know it’s because you guys live in Nigeria, but for us that go to school and come back, like when I come back, the change is so visible. We are not giving our government credit because it’s hard, and they are really trying,” he added.

His comment, however, did not sit well with many Nigerians. They claimed he has been living a privileged life adding that he knows nothing of Nigeria’s problems.
