Legendary gospel singer and worship leader, Ron Kenoly, has died at the age of 81.
Kenoly’s death was confirmed on Tuesday by several gospel artistes who took to social media to mourn the renowned minister.
Reacting to the news, Nigerian gospel singer Nathaniel Bassey paid tribute to the late worship icon on Instagram.
“Dr Ron Kenoly crosses to yonder side,” Bassey wrote. “Thank you for inspiring generations of psalmists like me. I grew up on these songs. And today, others are growing up on ours. Thank you sir.”
Ron Kenoly was celebrated globally for his powerful worship songs that shaped contemporary gospel music across generations. Some of his popular songs include Majesty, Righteousness, Peace & Joy, Anointing, All Honour and Sing Out.
The late gospel legend’s music ministry influenced churches and worship leaders around the world, earning him a lasting legacy in Christian music.
