Nigeria’s Super Falcons will begin their training camp for the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) on Friday, February 20.
The team, coached by Justine Madugu, will train in Abuja before travelling to Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire, for the WAFU B invitational tournament.
Ghana and Senegal will also take part in the tournament, which will run from February 27 to March 7.

As defending champions, the Super Falcons are expected to play more friendly matches to prepare fully for WAFCON 2026.
The tournament will also serve as Africa’s qualification competition for the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup, which will be hosted by Brazil. The four teams that reach the semi-finals will qualify for the World Cup.
Nigeria has been drawn in Group C, where they will face Zambia, Egypt, and Malawi.
