What Odumeje said to Davido after Grammy loss

Nigerian controversial pastor Chukwuemeka Cyril Ohanaemere, popularly known as Odumeje, has reacted to Davido’s Grammy loss.

While speaking during a sermon, Odumeje explained that Davido’s fame supersedes Grammy recognition. He urged the artist to look beyond international recognition, stating that he is already a blessing to his generation.

Odumeje, while speaking about the awards ceremony, stated that they are not the reason behind Davido’s popularity.

“Davido, you’re already a generational award awarded with a lot of award. There’s no award that you will receive now that means anything. You have already awarded any award you need. Your life, your steps are awards. Don’t allow any ordinary iron to quench the fire of your joy. What is Grammy, who knows the Grammy. Who Grammy help? Grammy didn’t make us to know Davido. We know you as a good singer and that is why we love you,” he stated.
