In less than two years, Harmony Luxe Event has emerged as a recognizable name in Nigeria’s movie premiere and live-event space. Led by its Creative Director, Adenipekun Harmony Oluwanipinmi, the company has built a reputation for delivering large-scale productions under tight timelines; a track record that is now driving plans for expansion across Africa and into Europe.

The company’s turning point came in 2024, when it was engaged to manage the premiere of Ajosepo, a film by actor Bolaji Ogunmola. With conventional venues unavailable and time running out, the team was presented with an unusual challenge. Rather than cancel or delay the event, Harmony Luxe Event transformed a flooded parking area into a functional premiere venue in less than 18 hours.

The event went ahead as scheduled and quickly became a talking point within Nollywood. “That experience showed me how much more was possible,” Harmony said. “It changed how I saw the business.”

Following that project, the company began receiving increased demand for film premieres and related industry events. Its scope of work typically covers red-carpet management, venue design, set construction, food and beverage coordination, and audience flow. Industry insiders say Harmony Luxe Event’s productions are recognizable for their structure and execution, even when delivered under pressure.

One of its more widely discussed projects was the Nigerian premiere of Gladiator at IMAX Lekki. To align with the film’s theme, the venue floor was layered with sand, a design choice that drew attention for both its visual impact and logistical complexity. Despite the unconventional setup, the event was delivered without disruption and remains a reference point within the industry.

While the company continues to expand its footprint locally, Harmony says his focus is now shifting outward. “The next phase is Africa and Europe,” he said. “We want to take on more destination weddings in Europe and scale corporate and film events across African cities by working with local partners and building small operational teams.”

He added that the long-term objective is to compress the entire event delivery process — from planning to execution — into a 10-hour window, without compromising quality or safety.

Observers within the events and film industries say Harmony Luxe Event has influenced how premieres are approached in Nigeria, particularly in terms of speed and adaptability. Its rise mirrors a broader evolution within the country’s creative sector, where local service providers are increasingly positioning themselves for international work.

As Adenipekun Harmony Oluwanipinmi prepares for expansion, Harmony Luxe Event is positioning its operational model for cross-border application, aiming to move from a Nigeria-based production company into a pan-African and European events brand.
