Jidex speaks on Creator’s Approach to Legitimate Income at African Summit

Nigerian content creator and entrepreneur, Olajide Abubakar Rasak, also known as Jidex, spoke on financial responsibility and legitimate income generation during the just concluded African Creators Summit, where he was engaged by the TheDaily2KDiary team.
Meeting Jidex at the event, TheDaily2kDiary which is known for spotlighting individuals committed to lawful and sustainable income asked about the growing responsibility creators carry in shaping public perception around wealth and success. Addressing the topic, Jidex emphasized that visibility must be backed by structure.
“I earn well from social media, but it’s not my only source,” Jidex said. “If you stop creating tomorrow, what else is paying you? That’s the real question.”
He further noted that platform disruptions have reinforced his belief in diversification. “You all remember when TikTok banned my account at 936,000 followers, Although I had other sources of income and I was still feeding fine. That experience showed me why creators must build beyond the internet,” he added.

Meta was also present at the summit. Commenting on the initiative, Oluwasola Obagbemi, Head of Communications for Sub-Saharan Africa at Meta, said, “Our presence at the African Creators Summit was about meeting creators where they are, creating meaningful moments of connection, and demonstrating how Facebook empowers creators to succeed.”
Also known as Jide Klothing (born June 25), represents a new generation of Nigerian entrepreneurs at the intersection of media, culture and finance. By combining social media income with business ownership across fashion, food and entertainment, Jidex illustrates how digital influence can evolve into a more structured wealth creation which is an increasingly important blueprint in Nigeria’s creator-driven economy.
