EPL: Manchester United beat Tottenham 2–0 at Old Trafford

Quick Read

Tottenham, the defeat adds to a poor run of form. They are now winless in seven league games, and the pressure continues to grow on manager Thomas Frank after another disappointing performance.

Manchester United defeated Tottenham Hotspur 2–0 in their Premier League match at Old Trafford on Saturday.

Bryan Mbeumo and Bruno Fernandes scored the goals that secured the win for United and strengthened their hold on fourth place in the league table.

Tottenham’s problems grew worse when their captain, Cristian Romero, was sent off in the 29th minute.

He received a straight red card for a dangerous tackle on United midfielder Casemiro. The dismissal left Spurs with 10 men for most of the match and made things even harder for a team already struggling with injuries.

United took the lead in the 38th minute. A well-planned corner kick created space for Bryan Mbeumo, who calmly finished to put the home side ahead.

Tottenham found it difficult to respond and managed only one shot on target throughout the entire match. United stayed in control and were rarely threatened.

Bruno Fernandes sealed the victory late in the game, scoring from close range with about 10 minutes left to play. His goal confirmed a comfortable and fully deserved win for Manchester United.

The result means United are now unbeaten in their last seven league matches and have won all four games since Michael Carrick returned as manager.

For Tottenham, the defeat adds to a poor run of form. They are now winless in seven league games, and the pressure continues to grow on manager Thomas Frank after another disappointing performance.
