Controversy has trailed a 23-year-old Kenyan lady, Marion Naipel, who went viral after her explicit videos showing her pleasuring herself at a Nairobi club went viral.
The videos, which have been circulating on porn sites and social media platforms, show the naturally endowed, curvaceous lady, who boasts hot statistics, giving all kinds of postures as she pleasures herself.
However, Marion, who gave the impression that the videos were embarrassing to her and her family, has given her life to Jesus, saying that she is now reformed and working in the Lord’s vineyard, specifically at a popular Kenyan clergyman, Pastor Victor Kanyari’s Salvation and Healing Ministry.
Videos show that she has turned to the church and accepted salvation. Speaking during a service at the church, Marion said she had not been saved before but received prayers that changed her life.
She publicly declared her decision to accept Christ and announced that she would officially join the church, saying the experience had brought her peace and clarity. Pastor Kanyari welcomed her during the service and expressed support as she begins a new chapter in her life.
However, many are of the view that her current reformist attitude is a veneer to cover up her salacious actions at the club.
Marion claimed the videos were recorded by a friend reportedly identified as US-based James Opande without her consent while she was intoxicated. “I was too drunk to know he was recording,” Marion opened up.
She said she later filed a complaint at Buruburu Police Station in Nairobi, accusing Opande of recording and circulating the clips without her consent, an action she says has caused her emotional distress and damaged her reputation.
Marion has also addressed the involvement of Geoffrey Mosiria, the Nairobi County Chief Officer for Citizen Engagement. She clarified that Mosiria’s help has been strictly personal and humanitarian, not official, and urged the public to stop harassing him for his support.
She explained how she met James Opande on Tinder in April last year, and after months of chatting, they finally decided to meet in person at a local pub.
“He is someone I knew and really trusted,” she said. “That trust was shattered that night. I was too drunk to see if he was recording.”
According to her, when she confronted him after the video went viral, Opande denied it at first. “Then he tried to play victim, saying it has also caused him problems, especially with his wife.”
Marion said she found out on a Thursday morning when a friend called to tell her she was trending on Telegram.
“My friend sent me the video and when I saw my face in it, I was traumatised,” she said, adding that the worst part was when her father saw it first, leading to painful confrontations between her parents.
She escaped to Mombasa to get away from it all, but the damage had been done. “The freedom is no longer there,” she said.
“The biggest mistake Opande did was posting and recording without my consent. He even said that he was just recording for his own consumption. I can only forgive Opande if he comes out right and seeks an apology.”
Marion and her supporters tried to get justice, even reporting the case at JKIA.
“We even went to JKIA to report, but we didn’t get him,” she said. Then came what Marion describes as another setup. Two people claiming to be Opande’s negotiators, Olivia and Don, contacted her.
“Olivia told me that she wants to take me out somewhere, but all along, she and Don wanted to get me drunk and expose me again. They wanted to take a nude photo of me and say that that is my trend just to save the boy-child in this case,” Marion stated. Both Olivia and Don were arrested, but the justice system failed her again.

Marion questioned the intent behind the recording, saying, “What if I had agreed to his request? He would still have recorded me.”
However, the 23-year-old lady has apologised to her family and Kenyans. “I feel traumatised right now. I am sorry to all Kenyans. I made a mistake.
“I am sorry to my family, and I am sorry to myself too. I have to find a way to forgive myself,” she confessed.
Still, despite Marion’s long, incredible story, her playing the victim, the renunciation of her misdeeds and current reformist bent, many believe she is just grandstanding.
Social media is awash with unverified reports alleging that forensic findings may point to Marion Naipei’s involvement in the alleged leak of the videos.
For instance, an adult content creator said: “Immediately I saw Marion Naipei, my instincts told me she was one of us; it’s just that I didn’t have proof.
“Now that everything has been exposed, she should stop pretending to be saved. She should come back. We continue growing this industry.”
Meanwhile, the Cabinet Secretary for the Ministry of Gender, Culture and Children Services in Kenya, Hanna Wendot, has released a statement confirming that the ministry is engaging relevant agencies to review the matter within their respective mandates and take appropriate action in accordance with the law.
