Photos: Ebuka shocks fans with surprise proposal in Vatican City

Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, host of Big Brother Naija (BBNaija), surprised fans on Friday with a romantic proposal to his wife, Cynthia, in Vatican City to mark their 10th wedding anniversary.

The gesture took place after the couple attended mass at St. Peter’s Basilica, where Ebuka went down on one knee and presented a ring.

Passersby reportedly stopped to watch and applaud the moment. The couple also received an official 10th anniversary certificate from Pope Leo XIV.

Sharing the celebration on Instagram, Ebuka described the day as “the most amazing day in Rome and Vatican City,” concluding with dinner at their favourite restaurant.

Ebuka previously recounted how he met Cynthia on Twitter and revealed he knew he wanted to marry her just two months into their friendship.

The couple got engaged in April 2015 and were married on February 6, 2016.

They are blessed with two children.
