Senegalese authorities have arrested 14 people and dismantled a paedophile network operating between Senegal and France, the police confirmed on Sunday.

All 14 suspects, all Senegalese nationals, were brought before a judge on Friday, facing charges including organised paedophilia, pimping, rape of minors under 15, sodomy, and intentional transmission of HIV/AIDS.
Investigators said four of the defendants acted under instructions from a French national arrested in northern France in April 2025, allegedly in exchange for money transfers.
The operation involved coordinated raids across several neighbourhoods in Dakar and in Kaolack, 200 kilometres southeast of the capital, as police worked to dismantle the network entirely.
