This foundation of trust carried into his entrepreneurial journey. Through MATON Engineering Nigeria Limited, Tonlagha built more than a company — he built capacity. By expanding into EPC, maritime, security, and real estate services, MATON became a strategic indigenous partner in Nigeria’s development. Thousands of families across the Niger Delta owe their livelihoods to his vision, while countless young professionals have gained skills, dignity, and opportunity through his leadership.

Tonlagha’s national significance became unmistakable during Nigeria’s oil production crisis. As Vice Chairman of Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited, he played a critical role in combating oil theft and sabotage. The recovery of lost production and revenue was not merely an economic achievement; it was a patriotic act that stabilized Nigeria’s fiscal future and restored confidence in indigenous solutions.

Equally compelling is his humanitarian footprint. Tonlagha’s philanthropy is woven into the fabric of daily life for many Nigerians — from scholarships that keep children in school to empowerment programs that restore dignity to widows and vulnerable citizens.
