Bauchi governor Mohammed sacks commissioner

According to the statement, the Bauchi governor sacked the commissioner as part of the resolve of his administration to periodically effect changes in order to inject fresh ideas, strengthen governance, reposition the cabinet for improved service delivery, and ensure the effective implementation of government policies and programmes across the state.

Bauchi governor, Bala Mohammed early Monday morning announced the sack of his commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Alhaji Ibrahim Gambo Galadima.

The sack of Galadima was announced in a terse two-paragraph statement signed and released by the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the Governor, Comrade Mukhtar Gidado on Monday.

The media aide described the sack of the commissioner as a minor reshuffling of the Bauchi governor’s cabinet.

The statement read: “His Excellency, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed, the Executive Governor of Bauchi State, has approved a minor change in the composition of his cabinet.

“In that respect, the Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Alhaji Ibrahim Gambo Galadima, has been relieved of his appointment as a member of the State Executive Council with immediate effect.”

According to the statement, the Bauchi governor sacked the commissioner as part of the resolve of his administration to periodically effect changes in order to inject fresh ideas, strengthen governance, reposition the cabinet for improved service delivery, and ensure the effective implementation of government policies and programmes across the state.

Governor Mohammed was also quoted in the statement as expressing his deep appreciation to Alhaji Ibrahim Gambo Galadima for the services he rendered to Bauchi State and wished him well in his future endeavors.

The Governor also reassured the people of Bauchi State of his administration’s continued commitment to peace, security and good governance.

Gidado said a replacement will be announced in due course.
