Osimhen smashes Galatasaray record, becomes 4th highest scoring foreign player

Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen has become the club’s all-time fourth-highest scoring foreign player after netting in Sunday’s 3-0 win over Rizespor in the Turkish Super Lig.

Barış Alper Yılmaz opened the scoring in the 19th minute, with Yunus Akgün doubling the lead before Osimhen extended it in the 73rd minute, sealing all three points for the visitors.

The goal took Osimhen’s tally for Galatasaray to 52, surpassing Bafétimbi Gomis’ 51 strikes to claim fourth place on the club’s all-time foreign scorers’ list.

The top three foreign scorers ahead of Osimhen are: Mauro Icardi (73), Gheorghe Hagi (72), and Milan Baros (61).
