Iconic Nigerian musician Innocent Idibia, known globally as 2Baba, has finally addressed the long-standing public labels regarding his personal life, stating that the “womanizer” tag is a major misconception.
In an exclusive sit-down with the Voice of Nigeria, the legendary singer sought to clarify his identity, describing himself instead as a “lover boy” who simply wears his heart on his sleeve.
Addressing the narrative that has followed him for decades, 2Baba explained that his appreciation for women is often misinterpreted.
”The biggest misconception about me is that I’m a womanizer,” the singer stated.
“I like women; I’m just straightforward. But I’m a lover boy. I love hard.”
The singer, who has often found his private life at the center of social media storms, suggested that his “straightforward” nature, being open about his relationships rather than hiding them, is what led to the public’s perception.
Now a father of eight, 2Baba grew emotional when discussing his children. While he expressed immense pride in their brilliance, he admitted to a deep-seated regret: the lack of time spent with them collectively.
