Biola Bayo speaks on carrying her ‘cross’ alone

Nollywood actress, Biola Bayo, has opened up about her emotional struggles as she marks the first anniversary of her mother’s passing.

The actress took to her Instagram page to share a message alongside a photo of her late mother, reflecting on the pain of losing a parent and the realities of raising her child alone.

In the emotional post, Biola Bayo revealed that it has been a year since she became motherless, describing the experience as one of the most difficult seasons of her life. She also addressed critics who have questioned her inability to extend help to others, urging them to consider her personal circumstances before passing judgment.

According to her, life has not unfolded the way she envisioned, but she remains steadfast in faith and resilience.

“I can’t believe I’ve been motherless for a whole year. It is well! Before you insult me or hate me for not being able to help, remember I’m an orphan and a single mom too, not what I want or envisage, but what life throws at me, and I’m gracefully carrying my cross knowing fully well that God will never leave nor forsake, he will never leave me comfortless,” she wrote.

The mother of one further expressed confidence that she would never be stranded as long as she holds on to her faith, praying for her late mother to continue resting in peace.
