Dan’agundi becomes North-West coordinator of City Boys Movement

The Director-General of the National Productivity Centre (NPC), Dr. Baffa Babba Dan’agundi, has been appointed the North-West Coordinator of the City Boys Movement (CBM), a political train, designed to actualize President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s victory in the 2027 presidential election.

Dan’agundi, a grass root politician, was a former Majority Leader of Kano state House of Assembly.

He played pivotal roles that ensured President Tinubu’s victory in the 2023 presidential election, during when he organized the “one million march” rally for Tinubu in Kano state.

A statement issued by the Movement’s Media Aid, Abubakar Abba Kwaru, indicated that, “the appointment comes in recognition of Dr. Dan’agundi’s growing political influence, exceptional grassroots mobilisation capacity, and sustained contributions to the success of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s political movement across the North-West zone.

“Dan’agundi is expected to galvanize mass grassroots support for President Tinubu and significantly strengthened the President’s political base in the region.”

Kwaru noted that, “despite his subsequent appointment as Director-General of the National Productivity Centre, Dr. Dan’agundi has remained deeply connected to the grassroots.

“He has continued to implement empowerment programmes and social intervention initiatives across the North-West, reinforcing public confidence and consolidating support for President Tinubu’s administration and the Renewed Hope Agenda.”

The National Coordinator of the Movement, Seyi Tinubu, also hailed Dan’agundi’s appointment, describing him as a dependable and result-driven political leader.

“Dr. Baffa Babba Dan’agundi is a true grassroots political leader whose dedication, organisational strength, and ability to mobilize and train supporters for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu across the North-West have been truly remarkable,” Seyi added.

As North-West Coordinator, Dr. Dan’agundi will oversee the activities of the City Boy Movement in Kano, Kaduna, Katsina, Jigawa, Sokoto and Kebbi States, with a mandate to deepen grassroots engagement, strengthen political education, and further consolidate the Movement’s objectives across the zone.

The City Boy Movement is a political support platform established to promote the vision, leadership, and progressive ideals of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The Movement focuses on youth mobilisation, grassroots political participation, civic education, and community-based empowerment initiatives aimed at strengthening democracy and good governance in Nigeria.

The appointment of Dr. Baffa Babba Dan’agundi is widely regarded as a well-deserved recognition of his loyalty, consistency and outstanding contributions to the growth of the City Boy Movement and the continued success of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s leadership.
