Commuters along the Mile 12–Ketu axis were left shaken Monday morning after armed robbers reportedly attacked vehicles along the busy corridor, wielding cutlasses and attempting to force open car doors.
The incident was first highlighted on social media, with one user tweeting: “At Mile 12 this morning, boys were robbing cars with cutlass. They even tried to force open my guy’s door. Between Mile 12 and Ketu, there are two police stations, yet we have the most notorious boys in that axis. Ijoba, e gba wa o 🙏.”
Reacting to the alarming report, Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Abimbola Adebisi, said the Commissioner of Police has ordered the Area Commander, the Divisional Police Officer, and the Tactical Team to intensify patrols and clamp down on criminal activity along the busy axis.

“The Command is fully committed to securing lives and property,” SP Adebisi said, stressing that no area will be left unmonitored, especially those with recurring criminal activities.
Commuters have been warned to remain vigilant and cautious while navigating the corridor as police step up measures to restore safety and confidence on the roads
