As the crescent moon marks the beginning of Ramadan 1447AH, Nigerian celebrities have already taken to social media to share how they are observing the holy month. From heartfelt prayers in Mecca to humorous glimpses of fasting life, stars like Femi Adebayo, Mercy Aigbe, Lateef Adedidemji, Ali Nuhu, Faithia Williams, and Asisat Oshoala are showing fans that the sacred season is as much about reflection and devotion as it is about family, faith, and shared culture.

Actor Femi Adebayo shared intimate photos from Mecca, writing: “Ramadan Kareem 🌙✨ Alhamdulillah, we witness the first day of this blessed month. May this Ramadan bring light to our hearts, discipline to our souls, and barakah to everything we touch. As we begin this sacred journey of fasting, prayer, and reflection, may Allah (SWT) grant us sabr, accept our du’as and forgive our shortcomings 🤲🏽 اللهم بلغنا رمضان وبارك لنا فيه وتقبل منا صالح الأعمال.”

Actress Mercy Aigbe, who began observing Ramadan after marrying her husband Kazeem Adeoti in 2022, posted a simple but evocative message: “It’s almost that time of the year …….. 🌙☪️”

Veteran actor Lateef Adedidemji highlighted the devotion of the young with an Instagram story of a boy passionately singing the call to prayer. He captioned it: “The only sound I love to hear this month. Thanks Raheem my boy. Happy month of Ramadan.”

Kannywood icon Ali Nuhu extended blessings to fans across the nation with a detailed post: “Ramadan Mubarak 1447AH. As the crescent moon is sighted and the holy month begins, we open our hearts to a season of reflection, devotion, and boundless blessings. On behalf of MD Ali Nuhu Mohammed @realalinuhu, we wish the entire Muslim Ummah a month filled with peace, spiritual growth, and the mercy of Allah (SWT). May our prayers be answered, our fasts accepted, and our homes be filled with the light of faith. Ramadan Kareem to you and your loved ones!”

Meanwhile, Faithia Williams, who recently celebrated her 55th birthday and mourned the loss of her mother, joined in with a heartfelt “Happy Ramadan Kareem”, reflecting on the spiritual significance of the month.

Super Falcons star Asisat Oshoala brought levity to the observance, posting a series of humorous Instagram stories that captured the funny, stressful, and relatable moments of fasting. She noted: “We locked in for real,” giving fans a lighter, entertaining view of the sacred month.
