The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Technical Committee is set to discuss appointing new coaches for some national teams, The Guardian has learned.
While Eric Chelle is expected to remain as head coach of the Super Eagles, other teams including the U-20 Flying Eagles, U-17 Golden Eaglets, and U-17 women’s Flamingos are being considered for new leadership.
Current coaches have completed their respective campaigns. Coach Manu Garba failed to qualify the Golden Eaglets for the U-17 AFCON after losing in the WAFU B qualifiers. Coach Aliyu Zubairu led the Flying Eagles to the Round of 16 at the 2025 U-20 World Cup in Chile, while Coach Bankole Olowokere did not meet expectations with the Flamingos.
