Rev. Funmilayo Oyewale passes on, to be buried in Ogbomoso

Death has been announced of Reverend Dr. (Mrs.) Oyewale Funmilayo Felicia (Nee Akangbe) who passed on to the glory on Sunday 15 February 2026 in Lagos.
The family of the mother in Christ made the announcement in a release signed by Mr Isaiah Oyewale and forwarded to P.M.NEWS.
According to the bereaved family: “With heavy hearts but in total submission to the will of the Almighty, we announce the home-call of our beloved mother, teacher, and spiritual leader, Rev’d Dr. (Mrs.) Oyewale Funmilayo Felicia (Nee Akangbe), who peacefully transitioned to glory on February 15, 2026.
“A woman of profound faith and grace, she fought the good fight and has now received her crown of righteousness. We celebrate a life well-spent in the service of God and humanity.”
The release concludes with a Biblical quote: “She finished her course; she kept the faith.” (2 Timothy 4:7)
Wake Keep and Service of Songs are fixed for Thursday, 19th of February 2026 in Shasha, Lagos while the burial service will take place on Friday 20 February 2026 at her hometown of Ogbomoso, Oyo State.
