Nigerian comedian, Jephthah Bowoto, popularly known as Akpororo, has insisted that his claim of $15,000 gift from Nigerian afrobeat singer, Damini Ogulu, a.k.a Burna Boy is real.

The renowned comedian dispelled rumours that the claim of the monetary gift was a prank with a video clip on his social media platforms.

In the video clip, Akpororo said the $15,000 gift (approximately N20 million) left him visibly overwhelmed.

He also queried what he has done to deserve such humongous monetary gift for Burna Boy.

He expressed genuine confusion over the motive behind the gift, asking him what the singer expected in return for such a heavy spoiling publicly.

Akpororo appeared emotional and repeatedly in the viral video, questioned what he had done to deserve such kind gesture.

He tried to assured viewers that the monetary gift was genuine, while also displaying the bundles of cash in his hands.
“This is not AI.

“Burna Boy don spoil everywhere, who dey check am, who dey zuzu, u dey whine me ni? U dey whine my n*ga? Oluwaburna don spoil everywhere, no vex see am,” he wrote.

Akpororo further asked what Burna Boy wanted from him in exchange for the unexpected gift.

Akpororo is a Nigerian stand-up comedian vocalist and actor.

He ompeted twice in AY’s Open Mic Challenge, earning second place the first time and winning the contest the next.

In 2013, Akpororo became one of the most talked- about young comedians in the city, after a groundbreaking performance at Basketmouth’s “Laff and Jam”.
