‘She must be penalised,’ Tacha weighs in on Mirabel’s case

Nigerian media personality Natasha Akide, popularly known as Tacha, has weighed in on Mirabel’s alleged rape case. Tacha on her X handle, opined that Mirabel should be penalised if investigations conclude that she lied about being raped.

The media personality spoke about the dangers of false accusations, stating that it affects women who were actually victims of sexual assault and rape. She added that rape apologists will capitalise on cases proven to be lies and false accusations to shut real victims up.

”Now that its been established that Mirabel lied about the r*pe allegation, I expect the police and the agencies in charge of handling r*pe and assault cases to make sure they penalize Mirabel and that she receives the same punishment a r*pist would get… CAUSE we live in a very wicked and terrible society where r*pists and r*pe apologists are looking for excuses to continue to r*pe and abuse women.. We should NEVER allow stupid women to empower these evil and wicked men! She must be penalized,” she said.

Tacha also noted that the turnout of the ongoing Mirabel’s case will not affect her stand if a new victim is uncovered. She stressed that she will believe the next victim regardless of the result of the ongoing investigations.

”Don’t think Mirabel has made it hard for me not to believe the next victim oh.. if another woman comes out tomorrow I GO still believe her like maad!,”she added.
