Grammy-winning American rapper, Cardi B, has shared her thoughts on the Ramadan fast, admitting she would struggle to observe the religious obligation because of how her body reacts to hunger.

The outspoken music star made the remark during a recent Instagram Live session, where she addressed Muslims around the world observing the holy month.

According to her, going even a few hours without food leaves her physically uncomfortable.

“To my Muslims out there doing Ramadan fasting, God knew not to make me a Muslim. If I wake up and go three hours without eating, my head starts to hurt,” she said.

Cardi B humorously explained that she becomes irritable and experiences unusual sensations whenever she delays eating after waking up.

She added, “When I wake up, I have like a three-hour limit; if I don’t eat in three hours after I wake up, I start hearing things and cursing people out. I don’t have the strength to be a Muslim.”

Despite admitting she could not cope with fasting, the rapper praised the dedication of Muslims who abstain from food and drink from dawn to sunset during Ramadan.

“They love their God so much. I love when people are loyal to their creator,” she said, commending their devotion and discipline.
