Barcelona returned to winning ways in La Liga as they defeated Levante 3-0 at the Spotify Camp Nou on Sunday, maintaining their perfect home record against the visitors and ending a two-game losing streak.

Teenage midfielder Marc Bernal opened the scoring in the 4th minute, following a precise cross from Eric Garcia, marking his second goal in just three games for the club.

Frenkie de Jong doubled the lead in the 32nd minute, side-footing home his first goal for Barcelona in 13 months from a clever assist by João Cancelo. Substitute Fermín López sealed the victory in the 81st minute with a powerful 20-yard left-foot strike that beat Levante goalkeeper Mathew Ryan.

The win allowed Barcelona to capitalize on Real Madrid’s shock defeat at Osasuna on Saturday, reclaiming the top spot in the La Liga standings.

Despite their dominance, Barcelona’s high defensive line gave Levante some chances. Joan Garcia, Barcelona’s goalkeeper, made crucial saves to deny attempts from Carlos Alvarez and Jon Olasagasti, while Ryan’s spectacular double save kept the scoreline from widening.

The hosts had additional opportunities as Cancelo hit the post with a cross, and Raphinha was denied by Ryan, while Jules Kounde also saw a shot sail over the bar.

Barcelona’s victory reinforces their home superiority over Levante, stretching their record to 18 consecutive wins at Camp Nou against the side from Valencia.
