Gunman shot dead inside Trump’s Mar-a-Lago Secure Perimeter

In the early hours of Sunday, U.S. Secret Service agents fatally shot a man who unlawfully entered the secure perimeter of President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach, Florida.

The incident occurred around 1:30 a.m. ET, when the individual was spotted near the property’s north gate.

According to the Secret Service, the man was carrying what appeared to be a shotgun and a fuel can at the time of the encounter.

Secret Service agents, along with a deputy from the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, confronted the suspect.

Shots were fired during the incident, resulting in the man’s death at the scene. No Secret Service personnel or sheriff’s deputies were injured.

President Trump was not present at Mar-a-Lago during the event; he was at the White House in Washington, D.C. at the time.

The White House has not issued an immediate comment, though sources indicate the president has been briefed on the situation.

The identity of the deceased has not been released, with reports describing him as a man in his 20s. Authorities have not yet disclosed a motive for the unauthorized entry or any additional details about the weapons observed.

A joint press briefing involving the U.S. Secret Service, FBI, and Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office is scheduled for later in the day to provide further information on the ongoing investigation.

Mar-a-Lago, a frequent residence and retreat for President Trump, remains under heightened security protocols as a designated protected site.

This marks the latest security-related incident at one of the president’s properties, though officials emphasized that the perimeter breach was swiftly addressed by law enforcement.
