Popular Nollywood actor and filmmaker, Saheed Balogun, has revealed how President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, came to his aid after he was involved in a serious accident.

Balogun made the disclosure during an interview on Oyinmomo TV, where he recounted the incident that left him in critical condition.

According to the actor, the President and his wife intervened promptly and insisted he should be flown abroad for proper medical care following the crash.

He, however, explained that he later received adequate treatment in Nigeria but remained deeply touched by the couple’s concern for his well-being.

The veteran actor said he was surprised by their gesture and asked the First Lady why she went to such lengths on his behalf.

Balogun said she told him he was a star given by God and that his light must not go out.

“When I had an accident, President Tinubu and his wife stepped in and asked that I be taken abroad for treatment. I was well treated in Nigeria. I asked her why she did it.

“She said, ‘You are a star of God, and they must not let your light dim.’ From her, I learnt that if you take care of someone else’s child, God will take care of yours,” he said.

The actor noted that the experience changed his perspective about kindness and compassion, adding that it taught him the importance of caring for others.
