Nollywood actor Rotimi Salami has continued to mourn his colleague and close friend, Allwell Ademola, expressing deep sadness over her passing.
The actor took to his Instagram page to share a video clip of himself with the late actress, stating that he still finds it difficult to accept her death.
“Can’t believe all I am left with are videos, memories, and your works,” he wrote.
Salami, who was known to share a close bond with the actress, had earlier prayed against untimely deaths in the movie industry, noting that moving on had been challenging but necessary with the support of family, friends and fans.
The actress reportedly died on December 27 after suffering a heart attack at her residence. News of her passing was confirmed by colleagues in the film industry, including Damola Olatunji, Mr Latin, Faithia Williams and Bidemi Kosoko, who paid tributes to her on social media.
A service of songs and candlelight procession was later held in her honour, after which she was laid to rest.
Breaking his silence following her death, Salami said days of grief could not bring her back and admitted that the loss had been painful for him.
He also revealed that for five consecutive years, he and the late actress had spent New Year’s celebrations together, praying and making wishes, a tradition that was broken this year.
