Sesko fires Man. United past Everton in tense Premier League clash

Manchester United secured a hard-fought 1–0 victory over Everton on Monday night, with Benjamin Sesko’s second-half strike proving decisive in a tense Premier League encounter.

In a contest defined by defensive discipline and fine goalkeeping, it was Sesko who ultimately separated the sides in the 71st minute, calmly finishing into the bottom right corner after excellent build-up play from Bryan Mbeumo.

The opening period saw both sides struggle to establish sustained control. United came closest early on when Amad Diallo’s rebound effort forced a miraculous save from Jordan Pickford, who reacted sharply to deny what seemed a certain goal.

Everton responded through James Garner, whose well-struck free kick was superbly kept out by Senne Lammens, the United goalkeeper producing a fine save to preserve parity.

Despite a flurry of set pieces and midfield duels, neither side managed to break the deadlock before the interval.

The breakthrough came just past the hour mark. Mbeumo drove forward and squared intelligently for Sesko, who showed composure to beat Pickford with a precise low finish. The goal shifted momentum firmly in United’s favour.

Everton attempted to respond with waves of crosses and corners, but Lammens remained composed under pressure. Michael Keane’s long-range effort was brilliantly tipped away, while late attempts from Tyrique George failed to truly test the visiting goalkeeper.

Despite Everton’s late pressure and a series of corners, United’s backline held firm to secure a valuable away victory.
