Russell Brand pleads not guilty to rape, sexual assault charges

English comedian and actor, Russell Brand ,has pleaded not guilty to the charges of rape and sexual assault levied against him.

The media personality who appeared at Southwark Crown Court in London on Tuesday, pleaded not guilty to two counts of rape, one of indecent assault and two of sexual assault in relation to alleged offences in London and Bournemouth from 1999 to 2005, involving four women.

Brand appeared at the court holding a Bible with several pages bookmarked. The 5o-year-old’s trial has been scheduled for June, while a hearing is set to hold next month.
