Tems recalls embarrassing experience on stage

Nigerian singer and songwriter Temilade Openiyi, popularly known as Tems, has spoken about an embarrassing experience she once had while performing at an event.

The 30-year-old producer, while speaking with Big Boy TV, explained that she was once booed and harassed at a school event while performing on stage.

Tems revealed that the incident occurred at the early stage of her career, stating that she was not expecting that reaction from the crowd.

“I remember one time I was going to perform at my school as an up-and-coming singer and I thought I was going to receiving a standing ovation. But I got booed. They even threw plastic bottles at me,” she recalled.

She, however, explained that despite that incident, she remained determined in her dream and music career.
