Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa State has officially announced his defection from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The governor made the announcement on the morning of Friday, 27 February, during a meeting with members of the state executive council in Yola, the state capital.
Fintiri said his action was for the development interest of the people of Adamawa State.
