Ebonyi governor Nwifuru suspends two commissioners

Ebonyi governor, Francis Nwifuru on Saturday suspended his Commissioner for Works, Mr Stanley Mbam and that of Infrastructure Development for Concession, Mr Obasi, over “dereliction of duties” with immediate effect.
The suspensions are contained in a statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary (CPS) to the Governor, Dr Monday Uzor and made available to newsmen on Saturday.
According to the statement, Nwifuru directed the two commissioners to handover all government property in their possession including their official vehicles to the Secretary to the State Government (SSG).
“This directive is with immediate effect,” the statement read.
