The re-elected Chairman of All Progressives Congress, APC in Ogun, Mr Yemi Sanusi has promised to run an inclusive administration that will accommodate every stakeholder and ensure that the party remains united and strong ahead of future elections.

Sanusi said this on Tuesday in Abeokuta after the inauguration of the new executives for Ogun APC.

Sanusi was reelected as the party chairman for another four-year term.

In his speech, the re-elected chairman dedicated his victory to the party’s hierarchy, Gov. Abiodun, and the entire membership base for their continued trust in his leadership.

“I am deeply humbled by this renewed mandate to continue steering the ship of our great party in Ogun state.

“This is not a victory for me alone, but a victory for the progressive ideals we stand for.

Earlier while welcoming delegates to the exercise monitored by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) officials, Mr Wale Ohu, the Chairman, Congress Committee, said the exercise was conducted by affirmation, as there were no contending forces.

Ohu noted that the leadership of the party had ensured unity, resulting in a single list of candidates.

He disclosed that 1,180 elected delegates, excluding statutory delegates, participated in the congress and unanimously affirmed the officers without dissent.

He subsequently pronounced the affirmed officers as the duly elected State Executive Committee (SEC) members of the APC in Ogun for the next four years.

Ohu expressed confidence that they would justify the trust reposed in them, just as he commended Gov. Dapo Abiodun for fostering cohesion and vibrancy within the APC in the state.

He explained that members of the committee were drawn from different states and had the opportunity to assess developments across the country.

He added that in their reports, they had consistently acknowledged the cohesion and internal harmony within the party in Ogun.

In his address, the governor said that principled leadership and transparent processes remain critical to securing sustainable electoral victory for the party.

Abiodun said that integrity, discipline and grassroots engagement guarantee enduring success state-wide.

He urged the newly elected executives to uphold the party’s constitution, promote unity and ensure inclusiveness, saying that their roles were strategic and must translate into voters’ confidence and victory.

The governor described the congress as a defining democratic moment, noting that healthy contest strengthens democracy, while urging members to close ranks.

He commended President Bola Tinubu’s reforms under the Renewed Hope Agenda and reaffirmed commitment to unity, discipline and service to secure electoral victories in 2027.
