Nigerian gospel singer Limoblaze has revealed that he played a role in the early career of Afrobeats star Omah Lay, saying he showed him how to upload his first song to streaming platforms and hoped to steer him toward making gospel music.

Limoblaze made the disclosure while responding to a trending question on X asking users to share a story that sounds fabricated but is 100 percent true within the music industry.

“I showed Omah Lay how to do his first upload of his music to streaming platforms and I was hoping to gradually influence him into making Jesus music. I never give up,” he wrote.

He later clarified that there was no hidden drama behind the story.

“Lol there’s no full gist. We were boys, I always thought he was a special talent & told him I was sure he was going to blow up and did my best to support him and I was right cos he blew up,” he added.

Beyond Omah Lay, Limoblaze also shared details of his long-standing connections within the Nigerian music industry.

He disclosed that he “was boys” with Ckay, remains close friends with Johnny Drille, and lived briefly in the house of singer Skales.

He further revealed that he once had a respectful debate about faith with rapper Blaqbonez, and described R&B star Banky W as family.
