Chelsea delivered a commanding performance at Villa Park on Wednesday night as João Pedro’s hat-trick inspired a 4–1 victory over Aston Villa, handing the Blues a crucial boost in their Premier League campaign.

Despite falling behind early in the contest, Chelsea responded with ruthless attacking play, with Pedro emerging as the standout performer in a match that ultimately turned into a one-sided affair.

Aston Villa made the perfect start when Douglas Luiz fired the hosts ahead in the second minute after being played through by Leon Bailey, sending the home crowd into early celebration.

But Chelsea quickly regained their composure and began to dominate possession and attacking territory. Their persistence paid off in the 35th minute when Pedro pounced inside the box to slot home the equaliser following a scramble in the Villa area.

The Brazilian forward then turned the match decisively in Chelsea’s favour just before halftime. After a swift attacking move orchestrated by Enzo Fernández, Pedro calmly finished into the bottom corner to give the visitors a 2–1 lead heading into the break.

Chelsea maintained their intensity after the restart and extended their advantage in the 55th minute. Cole Palmer reacted quickest to a rebound inside the penalty area, drilling the ball low into the net to make it 3–1.

Manager Liam Rosenior’s side controlled the remainder of the game, comfortably seeing out the result as Villa failed to mount a serious comeback.

The victory strengthens Chelsea’s push for a strong finish to the Premier League season.
